About M. Jack Plane
aka Michael Flatley — aka Flats
I’ve been called eccentric. That’s fair.
But if you’ve spent decades mining your own subconscious, training your nervous system like a musical instrument, and gathering soul-memories from timelines that haven’t happened yet… you stop worrying about labels.
I’m a bridgewalker. For 37 years, I worked in the healing arts through touch. Now, I work in transmission — weaving together story, movement, music, and hypnotic insight to awaken deep creative memory.
- What began as inner research became an entertainment platform.
- What began as pain became art.
- What began as solitude became Cernia — a field for awakening genius without sacrificing the soul.
I don’t claim to be a guru or a prophet. But I carry a signal.
A signal that’s been ripening since the 1970s and has finally found the microphone. What I offer is not self-help. It’s soul activation.
What I’m building isn’t a brand. It’s a bridge to your brighter future.
If you’ve always felt like a time traveler.
If you’ve always known that art can be spiritual technology.
If you’ve ever sensed that your past lives may include versions of you from the future — then welcome.
You’ve found a mirror with voltage.
Between Touch and Transmission
Something is changing.
After decades of one-on-one healing work in the realm of touch, I find myself standing at the edge of a new stage, literally and metaphorically. For those of you who’ve known me through Chicago Touch, you already sensed it. Many of you have heard me say, “Someday I’ll move from the table to the microphone.”
That day is here.
This article marks a pivot—a kind of heads-up to my community. I still offer one-on-one sessions, but this time, they happen by phone. Each one is 25 minutes long, highly focused, highly personal, and crafted from decades of internal research. They cost $50, and for now, they are how I keep the lights on.
But they are more than that.
These phone sessions are a bridge stage—a brief transitional chapter between my decades in private healing and the long-awaited debut of “The Flat Top Show”, a solo performance project that blends storytelling, self-hypnosis, live humor, and soul science into a form I call “Initiation Theater”. Think of it as part stand-up, part transmission, part confessional, and part experiment in artistic awakening.
I believe this show has the potential to evolve into a truly radical platform, one capable of containing both entertainment and awakening. I’ve spent my life preparing for it, though few would know that. I had no children, and like many late bloomers, I poured my life force into something internal, something that’s now ready to move outward.
If you’ve worked with me before, I want you to know: you can still book me. And you’ll be part of something much larger than one-on-one coaching calls. You’ll be contributing to a real-time field test—refining a method that could one day ripple across campuses, theaters, festivals, and digital platforms.
This isn’t hype. I may fail. That’s real.
But there’s a real chance that I can blow some minds—and open some hearts—if the right support shows up at the right time.
Why Flat Top?
You’ll hear more about that later. For now, just know that “The Flat Top Show” is the name of my emerging YouTube channel, and it’s also the banner for my upcoming live work. It’s short, memorable, a little gritty, and charged with layered meanings. For now, the mystery can remain a mystery.
What matters is this:
I’ve reached the point where my humor, my grief, and my vision are harmonizing. Something happens when I’m in a group that doesn’t happen any other way. I become funny by accident. Five seconds later, I figure out why it was funny. That’s how I know something bigger is moving through me.
And I’m ready.
Not just ready to serve—but ready to be seen.
For Those Who Feel the Call
If you’ve known me as a massage therapist, or someone whose insights helped you through a hard season, then you’re already part of this journey. Booking a session now is not just self-care, it’s fuel for a creative mission that’s been gestating since I was a teenager.
The website you’re reading is in the seed stage. And this article is your invitation to be part of the planting.
Let’s make something remarkable.
Until beyond,
Michael Flatley
